Hardy Native climbing woodland Perennial, usually of woodland margins and hedgerows, with large heads of greenish - white flowers in July to September, followed by large billowy fruits. Prefers a sheltered position, and a calcerous (limey) soil.

Wildlife Value:

Very attractive to Moths, Bees and Flies; foodplant of the Small Emerald Moth caterpillar.
