White form of this Hardy Native Biennial, usually of Hedgerows, Open Woodland and Wasteland, with tall, dense multiple flowered spires of white flowers on tall, stout stems, above bold, downy foliage in June to September.

Very attractive to Bumble Bees; and is also a food plant for the caterpillars of the Heath Fritillary Butterfly.
Used to obtain Digitalin used in heart medicine, however in its fresh state the plant is POISONOUS.
