Hardy Naturalised Woody Perennial Shrub, originally a native of Northern California; usually of shingle, sand dunes, and other very well drained soils; useful for stabilising dunes as it has a very deep root system when mature. Produces many large racemes of bright yellow, fragrant, pea-like flowers in May to August, above dense, greyish-green foliage.
