Hardy Native Herbaceous Perennial, usually of dry grassland, hedgerows, open woodland; with whorls of purple-pink flowers on leafy stems above aromatic foliage in July to September.

Wildlife Value:
Very attractive to Butterflies and Bees.
Other Interest:
Was used in herbal medicine to improve digestion. Not used today.
