Hardy Native Perennial Shrub, usually of Woodland, Scrub and Hedgerows, Freely suckering and so can form very dense thickets, with heads of white flowers in March - May, followed by blue-black fruits, above grey-green foliage

Wildlife Value:
Attractive to most insects, especially Bees, and many moth caterpillar feed on the foliage, also the fruits provide winter food for many species of bird.
