Hardy Native Herbaceous Perennial, usually of Meadows, Pastures, Damp Grassland; with multiple flowered heads of pale pink flowers on tall stems in April to June. It has a number of regional names, including “Lady’s Smock” and “Milkmaid”.

Wildlife Value:
Attractive to Butterflies, Moths, Bees and Flies; food plant of the Orange Tip and Green Viened White Butterfly caterpillars.
Other Interest:
Young leaves are used as a salad vegetable; and are rich in Vitamin C.
